Community Education


Mount Laurel's Community Education Department is a self-supporting arm of the Mount Laurel Schools. This department oversees the following tuition and fee-based programs:
 
Extended Day Care
Tuition-based day care for Mount Laurel students in Grades K-6 before and after school.
 
Extended Kindergarten Option
This tuition-based program is open to Kindergarten students attending Mount Laurel Schools for our half-day kindergarten program.
 
Our in demand summer day camp provides a safe, nurturing, enjoyable environment for children who have
completed kindergarten through sixth grade as of July 2016. Our caring, child-centered staff is comprised of
mainly college students and certified teachers. Our staff is CPR certified. Camp includes an art program, sports,
indoor and outdoor activities, clubs, weekly themed events, recreational swimming at Larchmont swim club,
field trips, and special programs at no extra cost. Lunch is not provided. Parents provide transportation to and
from Camp Laurel. Camp Laurel hours are 7 am to 6 pm.

June 27, 2016 through August 19, 2016

Fee: $1500.00 per child if paid in full by April 15, 2016/$1520.00 per child if paid after April 18, 2016
All accounts must be paid in full by May 22, 2016 (No exceptions) Enrollment: To reserve your camper’s
spot, a deposit of $250.00 is due upon registration. Complete the registration form found here. Return the form
with the $250.00 deposit ($250 deposit is per child) to:

Cancellations: Cancellations are subject to a $100 non-refundable fee per child if canceled before April 18,
2016. Cancellations requests after April 18, 2016 will be subject to a $250.00 non-refundable fee. After May 22,
2016 no refunds will be issued. Camp Laurel regrets that we cannot prorate tuition based on student attendance,

At Camp Laurel,we seek to provide a safe, fun environment where all children are respected and have equal opportunity for participation. In the interest of that goal, Camp Laurel reserves the right to refuse admittance or dismiss from camp any person who presents a risk of harm to themselves or others by exhibiting behavior that is disruptive, inappropriate or unsafe. If your child becomes ill, injured, or presents a danger to themselves or others during the camp day and needs to be picked up, you or a person identified as your emergency contact will be notified immediately.
 
Please note that the above programs - Extended Day Care, Extended Kindergarten Option and Camp Laurel, qualify for Burlington County Community Action Program (BCCAP), Division of Children and Families (DCF) and National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies for military families (NACCRRA) assistance

One-Week Courses in Computer Coding and Robotics This Summer at Hartford

The following one-week courses are being offered this summer by Mount Laurel Community Education.  They will be taught by Mount Laurel 6th grade STEM teacher Nick Handley.  All classes will be taught in the Hartford STEM lab... a room that is set up to maximize student learning and enjoyment.
