Entire District:

Rotary/Schools Baskets - Each year, Mount Laurel Schools partner with the Mount Laurel Rotary Club to provide holiday baskets to needy families within Mount Laurel. Each of our schools collect components of a holiday meal. (At a recent meeting with the superintendent, one parent commented that her family had been assigned green beans for more than ten years, as each of her children moved through the same elementary school.) Our students and staff provide the holiday meal, and the Rotary Club provides turkeys and gifts for children in the family. On December 14, staff members assembled 82 baskets at the Mount Laurel Library, which will be collected by residents in the next week.

 Countryside Elementary School:

Kid's coat collection - Coats will be donated to Interfaith Hospitality Network.

Ronald McDonald House Light a Night- monetary donations accepted for month of December.  Every $15 dollars collected will pay for one room for one night for families staying there.

Pajama Day-  Students send in a donation of their choice and will then be able to wear pajamas in return.  Money collected will be donated to CHOP.

Springville Elementary School:

Giving Tree - Every year Springville staff and students decorate a Giving Tree with new hats, gloves, scarves and mittens, which are then donated to Providence House, a shelter for victims of domestic abuse.

Pajama Collection: Third-grade students collected donations of new pajamas as part of Scholastic Book Club and The Pajama Program's effort to provide new pajamas and bedtime books to local children living in uncertainty. Scholastic matches each set of pajamas with an age-appropriate bedtime story and delivers them to families in our area.
