Do you know a classroom teacher or educational services professional
who is dedicated, inspiring, and making a difference?
Mount Laurel Schools would like to hear from you!
Our district is participating in the New Jersey Governor's Educator of the Year Program, and your nomination may make the difference! We are seeking nominations from administrators, staff members, students, parents and community members. You may nominate as many Teachers and Educational Services Professionals as you like.
Educational Services Professionals include:
  • Anti-Bullying Specialist
  • Behavior Specialist
  • Child Study Team Members
  • Sign Language Interpreter
  • School Counselor
  • Learning Disability Teacher Consultant
  • Library Media Specialist
  • Nurse
  • Psychologist
  • Reading Specialist
  • Social Worker
  • Speech Language Specialist
  • Student Assistant Coordinator
Both Teacher and Educational Services Professional nominees will be scored upon the following criteria:
  • Serves as an exceptionally skilled and dedicated educator
  • Inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn
  • Demonstrates leadership and innovation in and outside the classroom
  • Has the respect and admiration of students, parents, administrators and colleagues
  • Plays an active role in the community as well as the school.
One Teacher and one Educational Services Professional who scores highest from each school will be selected to represent their school. Nominations will be scored by a school-based committee.
