Mount Laurel School District has 420 certified staff members and an additional contingent of 312 support staff. Our Personnel Department facilitates the hiring process for all district positions and substitute opportunities. Department members actively recruit qualified personnel for vacancies through local job fairs and professional organizations.
Certified positions are broadly advertised in local newspapers, on our website and state employment websites, and posted in all of our schools. Our online applications system, AppliTrack, allows you to complete an application for employment for current openings in Mount Laurel Public Schools. This applies to licensed certificated positions, as well as non-certificated positions.
Mount Laurel requires all applicants to use the district's online process.
We no longer accept paper applications. Our online process must be used to complete your application and upload any additional documents needed, such as certifications, transcripts, letters of reference, resume and cover letter.
Applications are reviewed by the Personnel Office for technical compliance. They are then shared with principals or department heads for follow-up. Interviews are conducted at the school level, either by the principal or committee, with a recommendation for hire coming forward to the Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent conducts a final interview for all teachers and seeks board of education approval as a final step in the hiring process.
