Mr. George Rafferty

A graduate of Hahnemann University and Holy Family College with a B.A. in Special Education, Superintendent George J. Rafferty holds an M.A. in School Psychology and an Ed. S. from Rowan University, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Administration. He is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.

Mr. Rafferty began his educational career as a special education teacher in Pennsauken Schools in 1990. He later served as a School Counselor in Gloucester Township, returned to Pennsauken as a School Psychologist, and went on to assume the post of Supervisor of Special Services in Somers Point. He was the Director of Special Education in Haddon Heights Schools for three years prior to his appointment as Tabernacle Township Superintendent Superintendent of Schools. He was appointed Superintendent here by the Mount Laurel Board of Education on February 10, 2016.
