Some of the homework and classwork just does not seem challenging enough. What can be done?
Once students have reached a level of competence in a given unit, teachers can differentiate the content, task or product to meet the needs of particular students. Investigations activities, because of their open-ended nature, in many cases naturally lend themselves to such differentiation. Even so, teachers can draw upon other standards-based resources that support our curriculum to meet those needs. Finally, if you have questions about the nature of your child's tasks or assignments, please consult with your child's teacher.
