Why Investigations?
Investigations is an activity-based math program that encourages students to think creatively and develop problem-solving strategies. It also emphasizes working together with other students to communicate mathematical strategies, ideas and understandings. This is in line with NJ Standards for Math (Math Processes: Problem Solving, Reasoning, Representations, Communication, etc.) and with what research shows about how children learn and develop their understanding of math concepts.
