For your convenience, Mount Laurel School District utilizes an online service where you can complete necessary registration forms at your convenience. Students should be registered at the school they will attend based on the district's geographic attendance plan. The registration process is not complete until you bring the originals of the required documents to your designated school for verification.

Preparing your children for the start of their educational career is an exciting time for them and a bittersweet time for you. We recognize the concern that comes along with entrusting your baby to someone else for the better part of each school day. Our program is designed to help ease the anxiety of parents and students by providing a positive and fun introduction to our schools. 
All six of our K-4 schools will hold a Kindergarten Orientation in May. Watch our school websites for additional information, or receive notification by beginning the registration process online now.
 All children entering kindergarten must meet the following requirements:
  1. The child must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2018.
  2. The child's birth date must be documented by an original birth certificate. This certificate must be presented at registration.
  3. A physical examination is required for all kindergarten students. This form should be completed as soon as possible.
  4. Three proofs of residency must be presented at the time of registration, one of which may be a copy of settlement papers or agreement of sale or lease, plus two current utility bills.
  5. In accordance with the New Jersey Department of Health, each child must be completely immunized before entering school against the following:

Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DPT) Vaccine: Four doses. Fourth dose must be administered on or after fourth birthday or total of five doses satisfies the requirement.

Polio Virus Vaccine: Three doses. Third dose must be administered on or after fourth birthday or total of four doses satisfies the requirement.

Measles or MMR: Two doses. First dose must be administered on or after first birthday. Mumps and Rubella: One dose required. (MMR satisfies requirement)

Varicella (Chicken Pox): One dose. Must be administered on or after first birthday.

Hepatitis B Vaccine: Three doses required. (Must be interval specific. Please check with your pediatrician.) Click here for Immunization Requirements.

Tdap and Meningococcal Vaccines: Required for all students entering sixth grade who are 11 years of age or older.

If your family is new to the Mount Laurel community, you will want to register students as soon as you are settled. Throughout the school year, you may register your child at the school he or she will attend. Here's our geographic breakdown on the elementary school sending areas based on your new address.
When you register your child, the following documentation will be required:
1. Original Birth Certificate
2. Previous report card (if available)
3. Transfer card from previous school district
4. Three proofs of residency: One proof may be a copy of deed, settlement/mortgage/ lease papers. The other forms of proof may be current utility bills. If property documents are unavailable, additional residency form(s) may be required to be completed and notarized until additional residency documentation is provided to the registrar.
5. Immunization Records
6. Physical (as indicated on forms)
7. CST Records - IEP reports, Observations, etc., (for students eligible for special services).

For those entering grades 5 through 8, last year's report cards and standardized test results are required for placement.
