
They drove down Hartford
Road, crossed Elbo Lane passing Hartford School on the right. In
minutes, they were at Alyssa’s house.
As Mom unpacked the food, the kids decided to discuss their Burlington
County
project. Nina suggested, “Let’s use cooperative learning like we
do in school. I’ll do the transportation timeline.”
Ryan agreed saying, “Okay, I’ll do the poster showing the government
in Burlington County.”
Alyssa gladly volunteered to find information on Burlington County’s education.
"Now that we have our visuals, we can figure out our oral report on
the history
without a problem,” Nina said.
"We can use the things from the trunk for our props!” Ryan shouted.
The three friends looked at each other and knew that Mrs. Flynn would absolutely
love their project.

One week later, it was time for Nina, Alyssa and Ryan to present their report.
They stood in front of the classroom with the trunk by their sides, and started
their speech. Alyssa reached into the trunk for their first prop. When she
pulled out the stinky, black and white fur…
