HARTFORD CLUB INFORMATION
PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY!

CLUB INFORMATION
- Clubs take place on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays only. The Club Advisor will share their specific schedule with participants as soon as it is finalized. The exception to this is the 6th Grade Art Club, which meets on Wednesdays – no late bus available/parent pick-up or EDC only!
- Club Permission Forms are posted when the club is forming and will be taken down after the club is full. Please download, fill out, and return to the Club Advisor.
- If you are unable to print a Club Permission Form, your student may come to the office to obtain a hard copy.
- If more applications are received than a club can accept, participants will be chosen at random.
- Some clubs may have two sessions with two different groups of students, allowing more participation.
- Students are encouraged to submit Permission Forms for more than one club per season, however, they may only participate in one club per season in order to allow more students to participate. The exceptions to this are the clubs that do not meet on a regular basis, i.e. Student Council, NEHS, Hartford Scoop, Helping Hands, Yearbook, Homework and Math Tutoring.
- If your child is already in a club that meets for the rest of the year, they would be unable to join a Spring Club.
- NJ Sports Physical requirements must be completed before a child can participate in any club that requires one. PLEASE REFER TO THE CLUB LIST FOR THE CLUBS THAT REQUIRE A SPORTS PHYSICAL. Spring Clubs that require a Sports Physical are: 5th Grade Basketball, Backyard Games, Volleyball and Wiffle Ball. If your child does not have a Sports Physical on file with the Health Office by the application deadline, which is 3/1/24, they will not be accepted in a Spring sports club. - Due to the volume of applications submitted for clubs, Advisors will only notify those students who have been accepted into their club and will give those students a schedule with meeting dates for this club. If your child is not notified by a Club Advisor, they did not get into the club and should not stay after school.
- Meeting dates will also be posted in the PowerSchool Daily Bulletin (which you can access through your Parent Portal), however, this is only a general listing of dates. The schedule distributed by the Club Advisor takes precedent and is the most accurate!
- Regular attendance and proper behavior are expected at clubs. Lack of participation or unacceptable behavior on the part of the student may forfeit their standing in the club.
SPRING CLUBS
- Spring Clubs are no longer accepting any additional applications.
- Students who were accepted into a club have been notified by the Club Advisor.
- Spring Clubs will run from 4/9 through 5/23. Each Club Advisor will develop and distribute a specific schedule to be given to club participants.
LATE BUS &
PARENT PICK-UP INFORMATION
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
IF YOUR CHILD WILL TAKE THE LATE BUS:
- Students who are riding a late bus home will experience longer travel times than their regular bus route since multiple routes have been combined.
- Students might not be dropped off at their usual bus stop, but at a location close to their home. Please refer to the HARTFORD UPDATED LATE BUSES with STOPS 2023-2024.pdf to determine where your child will be dropped off.
- Late buses usually depart Hartford between 4:15pm and 4:30pm.
IF YOUR CHILD WILL BE PARENT PICK-UP:
- Parents who are picking up their child from a club should plan to be at Hartford by 3:50pm.
- Please park in a parking space and wait outside at the designated stairwell until the Club Advisor arrives with students. Please check the HARTFORD CLUB STAIRWELL PICKUP LOCATIONS 23-24 for your child's club. Stairwell doors are labeled.
- Students who are not picked up by a parent/guardian by 4:00pm will be put on a late bus. Repeated late pick-ups may forfeit a student's standing in the club.
