School Business Administrator/Board Secretary
Robert F. Wachter, Jr. has served the Mount Laurel School District as School Business Administrator/Board Secretary since July 2002. In this role, Mr. Wachter provides leadership and supervision in the district program of fiscal management including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and employee benefits administration.
In conjunction to his role as School Business Administrator, Mr. Wachter provides administrative oversight of the Transportation, Buildings and Grounds, and Food Services departments and supervisors. He successfully facilitated both technology infrastructure and security upgrades to the district school buildings which included the expansion of security cameras, installation of security vestibules in all eight schools, upgrading our Alyssa Law compliance equipment, and upgrades to Wi-Fi and server switches
Prior to joining the Mount Laurel School District, Mr. Wachter served the Lindenwold School District in Camden County, NJ as School Business Administrator. During this time, he successfully managed the financial and facility operational aspects of the dissolution of the Lower Camden County Regional School District leading to Lindenwold’s conversion from a Preschool-6 grade elementary school district into a Preschool-12 grade system, involving a renovation of a middle school and construction of a new high school.
Mr. Wachter’s previous experience as Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds and School Custodian served him well and contribute to his hands-on approach of all aspects of his position.
