Summer Robotics Course

The following robotics course is being offered this summer by Mount Laurel Community Education. Each session of the robotics course will be taught by Mount Laurel 5th grade STEM teacher Nick Handley... who has over 25 years experience in the classroom. All classes will be taught in the Hartford STEM lab (B102)... a room that is set up to maximize student learning and enjoyment.

The courses are open to all students, ages 8-13, in the South Jersey area, not just Mount Laurel students. So bring your friends and/or family and learn some new technology skills this summer.

Robotics

This course teaches students how to build and code robots using LEGO SPIKE Prime robotics kits. Students will learn how to build and code robots under the guidance of the teacher for the first portion of the course. Students will then be able to build and code robots of their own design for the remainder of the course.

July 8-12 from 10am to 12pm

Cost

$175 per session

Duration

Each session runs Monday through Friday. Each session runs for 2 hours daily for a weekly total of 10 hours.

Maximum Number of Students

16 students, working in 8 pairs of 2, sharing a Chromebook and LEGO SPIKE Prime robotics kit

Additional Information

Students may bring a video recording device to capture their creations.

A completed registration form and payment are required to reserve a spot in a course. A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of a completed registration form and payment. No spots will be held without a completed registration form and payment.
